Blizzard officially announces Starcraft Remastered

Starcraft is one of the best-rated game and the title that redefined real-time strategy games 20 years ago. Blizzard Entertainment announced at an event in Seoul, South Korea. The adaptation will include all the content of the original title along with the expansion Brood War. It is being developed for Windows PC and Mac and will be available for the coming summer. Blizzard officially announces Starcraft Remastered.

After a few months of fairly insistent rumours. Blizzard has finally decided to announce Starcraft Remastered. The remastering of the classic 1998 RTS, which will, of course, include its later expansion, Brood War. This review will also support 4K, in addition to the original dialogues and soundtrack, re-recorded and rejuvenated. Other graphics enhancements implemented also include the presence of a player-adjustable zoom for a global view of the battlefield or a detailed look at the troops.

Starcraft Remastered

With Starcraft: Remastered, we are modernising the graphics of the original. As well as the audio and online support. To ensure that players enjoy Starcraft for another 20 years or more.

Those improvements in the online section include advanced matchmaking, full connectivity to the Blizzard network, with social features, custom maps and replays. Obviously, the campaign will also be revised, with new illustrations to provide an improved narrative. But since Blizzard highlight that while all these improvements bring Starcraft to the modern era, gameplay and balance remain the same, for an experience identical to that of the veterans.

Meanwhile, Blizzard is also going to do its own homage to the original game, releasing at the end of this week version 1.18. With new features and bug fixes, and what’s best, making it totally free. The company has recently hinted at these moves by removing Starcraft Anthology from its online store, where this summer. We will see Starcraft: Remastered, being available for PCs and Macs.
